Description

National Junior Olympics Session 2 are in the Bay Area of CA From July 25 – 28.  We want to take as competitive an 18U Girls team as possible and plan to play in the highest division of JO’s again.   Last year, we had a 9 very competitive games, gained a ton of high level experience, and did very well.  This year’s team has a chance to do even better!

Your deposit is your commitment to attend and lets me know how many players to expect at each age group.   Our preference is to take no more than 12 field players and 2 goalies per team though in some circumstances we may go over this number.  Select team players, CWPC players, and guest players who have traveled with us in the past will be prioritized before roster spots are offered to unknown players from other clubs.   Submitting the deposit before we invite guest players will give your athlete priority as we fill each roster.

The JO deposit will be returned if we are unable a team at your athlete’s age group or if it needs to be used for our athletes to play with another team.  Part or all of it may also be returned in the case of family or medical emergency depending on the final number of athletes.  Players who choose to jump to another team or club when we are also taking a team at their age group will not be refunded the deposit.

JO’s is the biggest youth water polo event in the country and we are playing to win and hoping to medal at multiple age groups.  Every effort will be made to get each players as much playing time as possible but it is unlikely that each player will play equal amounts especially since subbing can only take place after goals and during time-outs.  Close games usually have fewer opportunities to sub.   Should we fall out of medal contention – coaches will continue to try and win but playing time will be distributed more evenly.
