DEVELOPMENT GROUP (New & Intermediate Players: Ages 11+)
Mondays: 6:30 – 8:00 @ GAC
Wednesdays: 5:00 – 6:30 @ GAC
Optional Sundays: 4:30 – 6:00 in Hillsborough
SELECT TEAM (Intermediate & Advanced Players Ages 14+)
Mondays 6:30 – 8:30 pm @ GAC
Wednesdays 6:30 – 8:30 @ GAC
Optional Sundays: 4:30 – 6:00 in Hillsborough
PRICING:
Two Day Athletes: $135 – $155 per month*
An annual registration fee of $75 is required in the fall & provides a year-long American Water Polo membership. AWP covers each individual athlete with insurance and gives our club enough group coverage to rent the GAC, the Sportsplex, Lindley, Hamilton Lakes, and other facilities. The 4th athlete of any family will not be charged a registration fee.
YEAR-ROUND OPTIONS: We are North Carolina’s only nationally competitive youth water polo club with fall, spring, and summer seasons. New players are welcome anytime and may try the program before committing to a full season.
ATHLETES WANTED!
Free trials are encouraged. It often takes a few practices to get used to water polo but improvement happens quickly and athletes become very passionate about the sport. We encourage all new athletes to try two or three practices!

Youth water polo is still new to North Carolina and there is not a specific “season”. Travel tournaments are not required but provide an opportunity to play teams from Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. Summer is a big time for outreach and we’ve offered practices and clinics at a number of seasonal pools. We are always looking for opportunities to grow the sport and work with a number of swim teams – both year round and seasonal. Please contact us if you would like to offer water polo.
Our goal was to create North Carolina’s first nationally competitive water polo club and prepare athletes to play collegiately and into adulthood. However, we believe there are many great reasons to play water polo – fun, fitness, friendship, etc. Whether you need to take a mental break from another sport or if you simply want to make friends and have fun, we have a place for you in our program and encourage you to give water polo a try!
